Role Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Unreal Engine Senior Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Developer at Yellow Whale Labs, you will play a key role in gameplay, server integration, and optimizing the game.

Responsibilities

• Gameplay Development: Implement and enhance gameplay features using Unreal Engine and C++. Collaborate with design and art teams to ensure seamless integration of gameplay elements.
• UI Integration: Develop and integrate user interface elements for an immersive player experience. Ensure responsiveness and visual appeal of in-game menus and HUD elements.
• Server Integration: Implement server-side logic and integrate multiplayer functionalities. Collaborate on designing and optimizing network communication.
• AI System: Design, develop, and maintain AI systems for non-player characters (NPCs). Optimize AI behavior to achieve realistic and engaging interactions.
• Chaos Physics: Utilize Chaos physics system for realistic and dynamic in-game physics. Troubleshoot and optimize physics interactions to enhance gameplay.
• Game Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize game code for various platforms. Collaborate with the team to achieve optimal frame rates and visual quality.

Qualifications:

• Solid experience with proficiency in C++ and blueprint.
• Previous experience working on gameplay, UI, and physics in game development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize for performance.
• Familiarity with server-side development and multiplayer game architecture (AWS, EOS, and Azure).
• Ready to work with fast pace environment.
• Strong team coordination.
