This role directly assists FalconX in evolving its application security program and protecting its current and future application portfolio against common and zero-day security threats.
- Degree in an IT-related field or more than six years of industry experience in a role specifically in the application security specific field.
- At least 3 years of proven application security experience utilizing various tools and methods for protecting a medium to large organization.
- 1-2 years experience with software development environments working with one or more of the three major cloud providers:
- AWS
- Azure
- GCP
- 1-2 years of experience performing application vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
- Demonstrated proficiency in testing source code and running code through static testing (SAST) solutions and automating such testing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in testing applications in run-time environments with dynamic testing (DAST) solutions and automating such solutions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Implementing advanced security features in a CICD development pipeline and secure SDLC environment to protect against common and zero-day threats.
- Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining technical documentation for various applications in a development environment.
- The ability to prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk to the security of the application and business requirements.
- The ability to communicate the nature and severity of security flaws to the development team and various stakeholders of FalconX that may not utilize technical requirements regularly.
- The ability to help the developers to assess and remediate vulnerabilities in a way that does not alienate the development team and expresses empathy with their daily work functions.
- A solid and demonstrated understanding of OWASP's top ten vulnerabilities in API and Web Application security.
