Decentraland Foundation's SDK team is looking for a Tools Engineer to work on a brand new scene editor which will help creators to fill the community-owned virtual world with the most entertaining and captivating content. The editor is a greenfield project built with TypeScript by a small fully remote team operating in a low bureaucracy environment. We do not have crunches, meaningless rituals and burdensome processes. We do have friendly team mates who are always willing to help, clear goals and many avenues to express and develop your design and programming skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop core features of the Decentraland editor.
- Integrate 3rd party tools with the Decentraland editor.
- Participate in the development of Decentraland SDK (a scripting API which grants access to the engine) and supporting libraries.
Requirements
- Experience working on game development tools in a game studio, game technology company, or open-source project.
- User-oriented mindset - you care about the users and their satisfaction.
- Strong proficiency with a mainstream programming language (C#, C++, Python, etc.).
- Comfortable working with TypeScript and Node.js ecosystem.Fluent written and verbal English.
Desirable
- Capability to propose, devise and clearly communicate design solutions and break them down into manageable pieces of work.
- Strong grasp of 3D math relevant to game development.Solid knowledge of React.
- Experience working in teams practicing continuous delivery.
