AiB is seeking an experienced and passionate DAO Lead Architect to outline the strategy and technical framework for a new Cosmos Hub initiative, Decentralists DAO. The goal of the Decentralists DAO is to transition all Cosmos Hub’s operational management and decision-making on-chain to provide transparency, accountability, and improved conflict resolution. By organizing itself into a set of tightly aligned topic-specific sub-DAOs, starting with engineering, we can advance core development more efficiently while thoroughly researching and implementing new components on separate experimental repos.

The Lead Architect will work at the forefront of the DAO creation, reporting directly to the CEO and implementing the first-ever 100% on-chain management tooling for the Cosmos Hub to create a decentralized self-sustainable organization.You will help implement a DAO framework library by using Gno.land and writing Gno smart contracts managed by Gno core team and community. Additionally, you will work on creating a dApp structured DAO for Cosmos Hub governance, coordination, and decision making to provide transparency, accountability, and improved conflict resolution, and loosely associated and/or hierarchical subDAO for all categories, competing groups, and concerns from funding to proposal discussions. You will work closely and project manage many technical teams and partners to achieve these results. 

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience in building and implementing DAO frameworks, understands incentive-based design, and is able to bring together disparate technical components under one architecture. 

What you will be doing:

• Spearheading the first fully autonomous Cosmos Hub DAO for engineering, funding, and governance
• Leading the framework architecture for the Decentralists DAO initiative, identifying technical partnerships, and leading teams across different organizations 
• Working with the DAO registered team to assess the current state of the technical architecture
• Executing two phases of the project, initially focusing on contribution and delivery (example of the Gno.land components), and secondly, taking on an organizational and managerial role when more teams join the DAO

We are looking for someone who has:

• Minimum 3 years experience developing in Go
• Experience creating and managing modular open-source libraries
• Experience in the technical application for building a DAO, preferably across more than one DAO application
• Leadership qualities that unite and motivate teams and developers across several organizations 
• Strong engineering background in distributed systems and incentive mechanisms
• Strong communication and project management skills to execute on the strategy 
• Expertise in running a software or blockchain foundation or experience in an executive role in a funding software project
• Interest and proven track record in designing new architecture and taking on those challenges

Nice to have:

• Ethereum Solidity experience 3 years +
• Programming framework development experience

• Salary for this role can be USD 179,000 or 247,000/year, depending on level of experience.
