About the role

Serotonin is seeking a Business Development Associate to join our team. You will be supporting our Growth team on new cutting edge business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and expand our clientele. Your key functions will be coordinating with company executives, sales and marketing professionals, reviewing current market trends, and optimizing operations so that Serotonin may enable faster growth. This person will both engage with external clients and stakeholders, as well as with our internal team. This individual should be confident in their knowledge of marketing and business development. Finally, they have an appetite to work on growth initiatives that promote blockchain and Web3 concepts and products to developers, non-developers, enterprises, and newcomers alike. This role will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the Managing Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out both inbound and outbound partnering requests from Web3 and/or cutting edge projects to work with Serotonin
  • Assess projects in order to understand value proposition and competitive advantages, prepping & briefing the rest of the growth team
  • Work closely with the Director of Business Development on external pitches and proposals
  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, being a link between the growth team and client teams
  • Help develop & maintain CRM database and all external facing materials (presentations, case studies etc.)
  • Develop and strengthen business development management skills (i.e. business 1:1 calls, networking events, sales pitches, contracts, negotiation, etc.). Be able to follow and give support to a partnership end-to-end.
  • Researching the crypto market and industry trends
  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, and finalizing & filing contracts

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a business development coordinator, consultant, blockchain business development, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in an autonomous and fast paced environment with minimal oversight
  • Passionate about Web3 and blockchain; this individual is expected to continually stay up to date on market trends in and out of the office and be able to grow & maintain Serotonin’s high caliber partnerships
  • Knowledge and understanding of the marketing landscape both traditionally and in Web3
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into improving business strategy
  • Desire to learn and grow
