By decentralizing a critical component of the automotive transaction, Rodo's blockchain initiative is targeting extraordinary scale, transforming millions of vehicle transactions in the United States.


We are looking for an exceptional Head of Business Development to drive the partnerships and commercial relationships needed to accelerate growth and monetization of Rodo’s blockchain solutions.


About the role


Critical to the growth of our blockchain platform will be the engagement of the many participants in the blockchain value chain. The Director of Business development will own the work of identifying and pitching our breakthrough blockchain solutions, signing participants, managing relationships, and ensuring successful monetization.


What you will do:


  • Identify and research high value partnerships in the auto retail ecosystem
  • Bring industry participants to the Rodo blockchain platform
  • Identify new monetization opportunities with other participants in the automotive value chain, both upstream and downstream
  • Create terms sheets, negotiate commercial agreements, and guide deals through completion
  • Coordinate with internal teams (product, marketing, sales) to create detailed proposals
  • Negotiate contract terms with partners and communicate with stakeholders
  • Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
  • Represent Rodo at tradeshows and other events to evangelize Rodo’s blockchain solutions

What you’ll need:


  • Ability to be extremely effective at navigating and selling into the DMV/state government prospects for the Rodo Blockchain Title solution
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Ability to easily navigate manufacturers, data providers, DMVs, lenders, wholesalers and other participants in automotive retail
  • Elite deal making ability in the automotive technology services industry
  • Proven ability in business-to-business (B2B) partnerships
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with fast paced online startup environment and desire to make an immediate impact
  • Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients
