As the Head of Platform Data, you are the source of truth for critical platform data for Product, Marketing, Trading, Sales, and Engineering teams cross-functionally to inform, influence, support, and sustain product roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and future company directions.
We are looking for someone with the skills to retrieve, clean, and analyze data that tells the story of user behavior and product usage. You will be given open-ended questions from various teams and be responsible for defining the data and analysis required to provide evidence-backed answers.
Key Deliverables:
- Work with various teams across the organization to define metrics and analysis that provide consistent and insightful feedback on go-to-market and growth success for various product, marketing, and sales initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership in data strategy for Product, Marketing, Trading, Sales, and Engineering teams to inform, influence, support, and sustain product roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and future company directions
- Openly discuss, challenge, and improve proposed platform data retrieval and analysis requests to provide more impactful and accurate user stories.
- Develop and implement a transparent but secure data retrieval and analysis process
Your Profile:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related analytical discipline.
- Experience in Crypto/Web3 is a must, experience in centralized exchange business a plus.
- 5+ years experience in the tech or fintech environment with experience in the growth stage a plus.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical reasoning.
- Expert in data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. Tableau or R); experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling a plus.
- Ability to use data in storytelling and create data-driven narratives of user behavior.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to think critically about data requests across the entire organization.
- Strong English oral and written proficiency a must, mandarin a plus.
