Job Description
- Day-to-day operational support for the crypto trading desks – working closely with traders and counterparties to ensure accurate trade capture and matching (affirmation and confirmation), primarily using external trade matching platforms and in-house risk systems.
- Responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation and settlement of crypto trades.
- Highlighting any issues to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner, with an ability to distinguish and prioritize high-risk breaks.
- Key involvement in driving process improvement across the Fund trade booking systems and related downstream operational flows.
- Key involvement in improvements made to the crypto trade booking systems.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement operational risk controls and support model for crypto trading business.
- Manage all aspects of cryptocurrency trade capture, reporting, settlement, and reconciliations.
- Ensure operational processes are fully documented.
- Work with exchanges and counterparties to resolve trade breaks.
- Daily and month end reconciliation of trades, positions, cash, and P&L
- Identify operational control gaps and suggest process improvements.
- Identify automation opportunities for supporting scale.
- Provide trade support to crypto trading teams.
- Assist with the onboarding of new crypto funds, crypto currencies, exchanges, and business initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills to understand a broad set of crypto assets and complex end-to-end workflows.
- Detail-oriented with a control mind set.
- Act as a central point of contact for all operational queries
- Ability to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of operations experience in financial services, with at least 1 year of experience supporting digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
- Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency landscape and operational processes.
- Ability to understand technological workflows across several platforms.
- Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.
- Understanding of risk management as it relates to trade support and trade execution.
- Demonstrated reliability, judgment, and responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passionate about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
