Are you frustrated with the current state of Web3? Do you see something much bigger than crypto kittens and bored apes? Techstars is looking for a servant leader to guide, select and invest in the next generation of crypto companies across distributed finance, social, clean-tech, entertainment and more. 

We are seeking either a Managing Director (MD) or Investment Principal (IP) who can take the helm and lead our Techstars Boston Web3 investment strategy and program. Your focus is to invest in the best diverse founders and support them from ideation to exit. You will actively recruit, select, mentor and guide founders through challenges, critical decisions, strategy, tactics, securing investment, making hard decisions and celebrating their wins. You will be directly supported by a team who you will help hire to execute the Techstars proven playbook and deliver the best possible experience for Founders in your program.

What does an account manager do?

Account managers are responsible for managing relationships with specific clients or customer accounts

Their primary role is to ensure that their clients are satisfied with the products or services they are receiving, and to identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise

In order to effectively manage their accounts, account managers typically perform a variety of tasks, including:

  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and goals
  • Developing and implementing strategies to meet those needs
  • Handling any problems or issues that arise, and working to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing with clients
  • Monitoring the performance of the account and making recommendations for improvement
  • Upselling and cross-selling products or services to clients
  • Providing regular reports to clients on the status of their accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
