We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team, focusing on developing a highly scalable platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development using Go, along with a solid understanding of cloud security and cloud storage solutions. Basic knowledge of cryptography, blockchain, Web3 technologies, and distributed key-value stores is highly desirable. The candidate should also have experience with performance measurement and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Go.
• Implement and manage cloud security practices to ensure the protection of data and infrastructure.
• Work on blockchain and Web3 technologies for data transparency.
• Develop and maintain frontend components using JavaScript to ensure seamless integration with backend services.
• Utilize knowledge of distributed key-value stores to build scalable backend systems.
• Conduct performance measurement and implement improvements to enhance application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Go and JavaScript programming languages.
• Strong knowledge and experience in cloud security practices and cloud storage solutions.
• Basic understanding of cryptography principles.
• Familiarity with blockchain and Web3 technologies.
• Basic knowledge of distributed key-value stores.
• Experience with performance measurement and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Advanced Cryptography, such as ZKP, Oblivious transfer, is a plus.

Car IQ’s underlying technology is based on a machine identity verification process called Know Your Machine ™ that allows vehicles and IoT devices to connect to payment networks, physical infrastructures, and mobility platforms. We designed Car IQ Pay to serve industry participants including fleet managers, automotive OEMs, car-sharing services, ride-sharing platforms, and commercial fleets.

Salary range: $150,000 -210,000 per year depending on skills, experience, and more.
