Today, Ledger is the best solution to secure digital assets. As part of the team you will take part in multiple projects to develop new services to Ledger customers. Our mission is to develop tomorrow’s Web3 services around different areas such as Protection and insurance, Digital estate management and Decentralised identity. With security and privacy at the heart of core principles you’ll innovate and build new products that solve the challenges brought by the Web3 ecosystem and self-custody and solve the equation of mass market adoption of blockchain based technologies. 

We are looking for a Staff engineer to integrate our Trust Services Business Unit. 

As Staff engineer you will report to the Engineering Manager and will impact many projects at a business unit level. If you are eager to continuously learn and want to participate in the Web3 revolution by making it accessible and easy to use to everyone, you are at the right place!

Your mission

• Design, Implement and maintain complex systems
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the teams in place
• Define and evangelise best practices to improve technical excellence 
• Contribute actively to architecture and design of new services
• In Coordination with QA, Design and Implement testing strategies
• Communicate over Talk and Blog Post

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years experience or 2 years in similar position
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Humble first class engineer and Continuous Learner
• Advanced python proficiency : expert level proficiency, a second advanced mastering of any backend language is a nice to have
• A solid grasp of Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Good experience in web protocols such as HTTP, JSON-RPC, GraphQL, SOAP, gRPC… 
• A strong comprehension of databases, both relational and NoSQL
• Experience proven in several web architecture patterns (ie, Micro Services, Event-Driven, P2P, …)
• Experience in Consumer / scalable services
• Web3 Experience is appreciated
