The Tech team is looking for a developer to help us to integrate online services into our Unreal Engine 5 game and contribute to the deployment pipeline. You will be part of the Game Tech team, working closely with other teams on developing and deploying online game features. Interest in working in game development is essential, previous experience in the games industry is not required.
Responsibilities
- Implement online services in the game
- Integrate authentication, connection logic, friends, achievements and other online services inside the game
- Integrate other APIs - analytics, blockchain API - into the game
- Help with deploying servers and server architecture
- Help with monitoring and maintenance of live systems
Skills & Requirements
- Wide previous exposure to online infrastructure, deployment, DevOps etc.
- Experience with C++ and proven record of experience with other programming languages
- Thrive in changing tasks and building solutions from the ground up
- Professional English language skills
- Excellent communication and task-management skills
Nice to haves
- Exposure to Unreal, EOS, AWS/Gamelift
- Experience with containerization and Linux
- Experience with various types of database systems
- Experience with test pipelines
- Knowledge of source control pipelines (Perforce), CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
- Exposure to Unreal and other game development environments
- Experience with Unreal's online features such as the Online Subsystem and third party tools such as EOS, Nakama, etc.
- Experience with Unreal's replication
