As the Head of Community for Europe at the Sui Foundation you are responsible for analyzing and understanding the unique community needs, challenges and opportunities of the key markets in your region. Your job includes raising awareness and building support structures that lower the barrier to entry for new community members, as well as helping existing communities grow to the next level of engagement and involvement.
The Sui ecosystem is supported by a globally distributed team of marketers, developer support teams and other functions. You will work closely with representatives from these other functions in your region to ensure our communities have a holistic support and growth strategy. Additionally you will coordinate with other regional heads of community, as well as global functions and teams, to ensure alignment with Sui’s overall vision and direction.
This role reports to the Global Head of Community at the Sui Foundation and will be hybrid out of our Athens office.
What you’ll do:
Grow a regional community around Sui blockchain, executing comprehensive strategy that aligns with our vision and expands adoption
Build out a regional community team to promote the Sui brand and manage crisis response in strategic markets
Nurture a vibrant community of blockchain enthusiasts, end users, and developers, via existing and new community channels
Act as an advocate for end users, ensuring feedback is given to appropriate teams
Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engagement within the ecosystem, creating clear incentives for developer tools, and dApps for mass user adoption
Help create full life cycle growth programs for community participants. E.g. Hackathons, Incubation, Community Events etc
Collaborate with external partnerships teams to nurture key industry players, dApps developers, and other Sui initiatives and projects to enhance Sui’s value proposition
Work closely with marketing and external product teams to ensure understanding of user-friendly features, exciting new dApps and services on Sui
What you'll bring:Â
At least 5 years of experience in building and managing ecosystems with a focus on end users, with a substantial portion in Web3
Deep understanding on how to work with end user communities and validators, developers, builders etc.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, building teams from 0 to 1
Experience in leading distributed and remote teamsÂ
Strong understanding of blockchain and crypto communities, on the ground-knowledge of Web3 end users and enthusiast communities
Passion for Web3 and commitment to making it accessible to end users
Flexibility and Willingness to travel and connect.
