What We Do
In 2019, we began with the debut of Fuel V1, our first major step toward enhancing Ethereum’s scalability, and since then we've grown to offer a complete Rollup Operating System. We create innovative technologies like the Fuel Virtual Machine, and Sway—a programing language designed specifically for blockchains—that together form a robust environment for developers, with relentless focus on usability. These tools are part of our commitment to optimize and expand Ethereum's potential, for all its users.

Who We Are
The team comprises 75 professionals, including builders formerly from well-known Web3 organizations such as Consensys, Polygon, Polkadot and Ethereum. Our contributors works remotely, hailing from diverse locations globally, and we value curiosity, passion, and accountability in our collaborative efforts.

About This Role

We are looking for someone to Join the only team in Web3 tackling the urgent problem of state growth and enabling blockchain sustainability for long-term growth. We are also a passionate, intelligent, collaborative and fun group of individuals with a diverse background who will appreciate the insights you bring and the amazing work we will do together.

Resposibilities

    • Lead, build and grow the Fuel community worldwide 
    • Create a foundation and formula for engaging and enabling community champions in global/regional communities
    • Develop programs to engage communities and localize programs for regional communities
    • Be the community leader within Fuel to drive cross-functional collaboration for community programs as well as a stakeholder in other GTM activations
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive community growth & management strategy for Fuel’s developer community
    • Work alongside the content & social media team to create engaging content (e.g., blog posts, social media content) to educate and inform the community about Fuel’s product.Foster meaningful conversations and interactions within the community, building a strong sense of belonging.
    • Organise online and offline events (e.g., AMAs, meetups) to bring the developer Web3 community together.
    • Manage social media channels and online presence to promote initiativesIdentify and address community concerns and issues, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments within the Web3 ecosystem.

Requirements

    • Experience building Web3 and technical communities
    • Experience leading major cross-functional teams
    • Experience building and hiring community teams
    • Strong embedded relationships in Web3 with ecosystem projects, key opinion leaders and community groups
    • Strong understanding of Web3 technology, its applications, and the current Web3 landscape.
    • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills to connect and engage with diverse audiences.
    • Experience building and managing online communities is essential.
    • A passion for Web3 and a strong belief in its potential to revolutionize various industries.
    • Bonus: strong knowledge of communities and key stakeholders in regions with emerging crypto native cultures, such as LATAM, APAC, Africa

What does a Community Manager in Web3 do?

A community manager in web3, also known as a blockchain community manager, is responsible for managing and growing a community of stakeholders interested in a particular blockchain or decentralized technology

This can include tasks such as moderating online forums and social media groups, organizing events and meetups, and engaging with community members to understand their needs and concerns

The ultimate goal of a community manager in web3 is to build and maintain a strong, active, and engaged community that can help drive the adoption and development of the underlying technology

Some specific responsibilities of a community manager in web3 may include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for engaging with and growing the community in social madia (most likely on Discord and Twitter)
  • Moderating online forums and social media groups, and responding to community members questions and concerns
  • Organizing and hosting events and meetups to bring community members together and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Working closely with the development team to ensure that the community's needs and feedback are being taken into account in the design and development of the technology
  • Providing regular updates and information to the community about the progress and status of the technology
  • Dentifying and addressing any issues or conflicts within the community, and working to resolve them in a positive and constructive manner.
