We're looking for a Staff Data Scientist who can lead and execute on all analytics and strategy initiatives for one of our business pillars (marketplace, wallet, rewards). This role will entail close collaboration with technical teams (Product & Engineering), as well as business teams to inform strategy through insightful data analysis. The ideal candidate should exhibit a blend of curiosity, drive, and resourcefulness in addition to advanced analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute on all analytics and strategy initiatives for one of the business pillars within Magic Eden through close collaboration with business pillar leads
• Conduct analysis to inform product and business strategy and present recommendations to senior stakeholders and executives
• Develop and measure metrics to monitor company and area performance
• Mentor team members and develop resources and processes to increase the efficiency of the Data Science and Analytics team

Requirements:

• 8+ years of industry experience in a data science or analytics role in a high-growth technology startup environment
• Advanced SQL skills and proficient with one or more scripting languages (Python, R)
• Experience leading data science or analytics projects from start to finish
• Proven ability to influence the company’s strategy with your findings
• Experience working with and presenting to senior stakeholders and executives
• Deep interest and curiosity in, or native understanding of the crypto ecosystem

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. The base salary range for this role is $180,000-$220,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
