UX Research Intern
What you'll be doing
- Research: Support UX Research in identifying opportunities for research, processing existing research data, choosing the appropriate methods, preparing research plans, conducting the research and analyzing & presenting results.
- Support UX Research operations including scheduling, participant tracking, editing interview transcripts, and notetaking.
- Support research analysis including multi-method synthesis, survey analysis, and insight synthesis.
- Assist the team in developing and implementing UX Research strategies and operational improvements.
- Attend product, design, and all-staff meetings as required.
- Support the design & development of UI/UX design solutions by sharing the research insights derived from your interaction with real users.
- Collaboration: Communicate UX research plans and key milestones to the team.
- Communicate with internal product managers (PMs) and designers regularly.
- Communicate proactively and consistently with users both formally and informally to maintain healthy feedback loops and engagement with our users.
- Analytics: Support data-driven decision making through experimentation, measurement, and analysis.
- Assist to monitor users' reactions and measure metrics after launching new features.
- Documentation: Assist to maintain design guidelines, standards, and templates pertaining to UX Research.
- You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company.
What we look for in you
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods and practices.
- Previous coursework in UX research is a plus.
- A portfolio of your work that showcases your UX Research process is a big plus.
- Previous internship experience in UI/UX design or UX Research is a big plus.
- Product Knowledge: Strong desire and passion to learn about the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry and the problems faced by users.
- Design Principles Knowledge: Demonstrated basic understanding of design principles (typography, composition, hierarchy, proportion, color theory, etc.), prototyping, knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design and creative process.
- Design Tools: Familiarity with modern interface design tools such as Figma (preferred)User-focused: Analytical and can articulate design decisions very well. Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative usability measurement methodologies.
- People Skills: Communicate clearly and have experience working with other individuals in a team towards achieving a common goal.
- Leadership: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision after 3 months. Has a strong sense of self-leadership, curious & creative on finding ways to improve existing projects & workflows.
- Problem Solving: Passionate about solving problems faced by stakeholders together with strong user empathy.
- Growth mindset: You love delving into new technologies and new ways of doing things.
- Software Development Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, as well as frameworks such as Tailwind is a plus.
- You have keen interest in cryptocurrency, NFT, web3, and metaverse topics.
