Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data processing solutions for Gauntlet’s data platforms, focusing on high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to develop and enhance data ingestion and processing systems tailored to the needs of the data team.
- Participate in code and design reviews specific to data projects, offering constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices in data software development.
- Stay informed about emerging data technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improve data system architecture.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to support data system operations and facilitate knowledge sharing within the data team.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related software issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the data platform's services.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend data systems.
- Proficient in at least one programming language commonly used for data processing and streaming applications, such as Python or Rust, within a data team context
- Experience with data ingestion and processing frameworks, such as Kafka, tailored to the needs of a data team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on building scalable and efficient data systems
