Do you want to build the future data platform and lead initiatives that have company-wide impact at the leading European crypto company? Then join the Bitpanda Data Platform Engineering team!
We build solutions ranging from batch data pipelines that bring to life business metrics to real-time processing services that integrate with our core product features. We also work hand in hand with all the business teams and help them generate insights from data to take better decisions.
What you’ll do
- Lead the strategic design of data engineering solutions and participate in the data strategy of the company
- Collaborate with tech leaders, principal engineers, business intelligence and business stakeholders to set the organisation’s data direction
- Architect and oversee the development of complex data processing workflows, using batch and real time technologies
- Establish and promote data engineering best practices, focusing on scalability, security and performance
- Evaluate emerging data technologies, frameworks and tools to drive innovation and stay ahead of industry trends
Who you are
- Proficient in at least one major programming language (e.g. Java, Scala, Python) and with SQL
- Strong background in at least one of the following: data platform, distributed data processing, software engineering of data services or data modelling
- Understanding of ETL/ELT, cloud architecture, data quality, event-driven architecture, data lake/warehouse, orchestration and observability
- Demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigour, team oriented, energetic, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible >
- Experience leading large technical projects and mentoring and growing fellow team members
