Your role is pivotal in operating, analyzing, and monitoring SPEI transactions, ensuring strict compliance with regulations. As the SPEI Ops Analyst, you will foster your professional growth by embedding our core values of "Drive Change" and "Be an Owner”.

Who You Are 

  • Based in Mexico City and able to work from the office.
  • 2+ years of experience in Operations, Treasury, or Accounting as an Analyst or similar role in Financial Institutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Administration, or similar.
  • Handling of Payment Systems like SPEI, CODI, DIMO, SPID, or Transfers
  • Knowledge of payment platforms from Praxis, LGEC or IKOS, as well as a good understanding of the Mexican Financial System.
  • Proven expertise in SPEI operations and regulations (certifications, audits and compliance rules) and have an active e.firma.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Access, SQL, Looker, or similar).
  • Strategic thinker, adept at using metrics and data for decision-making, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions to improve operative processes.
  • Highly disciplined with a sense of urgency and customer-centric, committed to daily processes and continuous improvement to deliver a memorable experience to our users.
  • Conversational English. 
  • Knowledge of the cryptocurrency or fintech industry is a plus.

What You Will Do 

  • Monitor the connection to the Interbank Electronic Payments System (SPEI)
  • Reconcile SPEI’s reports vs clients' database for operational and accounting purposes.
  • Operate, analyze, and monitor the daily flow of MXN operations, as well as attend to outages by providing operational support.
  • Report balances and execute internal transactions related to SPEI instructed by the treasury, business areas, and clients.
  • Engage with internal areas like engineering, legal, compliance, or customer support, as well as external areas (Banco de México, CNBV, auditors) for activities related to SPEI operation.
  • Execute SPEI certifications and maintenance.
  • Ensure timely responses to requests.
  • Collaborate closely on SPEI projects.
  • Participate in the development of SPEI projects.
