Strategic Finance Lead
Technical Skills:
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support resource investment and prioritization decisions, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on unit economics, cost optimization, and revenue drivers and growth opportunities.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Strategic Planning & Resource Allocation: Lead strategic and financial planning processes primarily for our Custody business as well as new product lines. Develop robust financial models, conduct scenario planning, and provide data-driven recommendations on resource allocation to achieve our ambitious growth objectives.
- Growth & Performance Management: Partner with business leaders to establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track performance against targets, and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and internal performance data to inform strategic decision-making.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial expertise.
Communication and Influence:
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Pricing: Collaborate with the Head of Revenue and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to develop pricing strategies, evaluate new market opportunities, and optimize deal structures. Provide financial insights and guidance to support effective GTM execution and revenue maximization.
- Executive Communication & Reporting: Prepare high-impact presentations and reports for executive leadership and the Board of Directors, effectively communicating key financial insights, strategic recommendations, and performance updates.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- 8+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance, preferably within the technology or financial services industry.
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience building complex financial projections. Proficiency in spreadsheet and financial planning software is essential.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large datasets and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
- Experience with Netsuite, Pigment and Salesforce.
